Residência: Active Ingredient

RELATE
Setembro 2012

>>>English<<<Active Ingredient in collaboration with Horizon Digital Economy Research at the University of Nottingham in England completed a year of research and the development of the project RELATE with a residency in Brazil, where part of the research team spent a week on a farm Vera Cruz, an RPPN anexed to the Gargarullo space in Miguel Pereira, a mountain town in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. In the second week of residence in Brazil, the group produced at Barracão Maravilha in collaboration with some of the associate artists; Hugo Richards, Natali Tubenchlak, Isabela Roriz and and Bruno Jacomino led and organized by Silvia Leal.
The RELATE project proposal is to encourage the involvement of scientists, technologists, artists and educators in research on
interdispciplinar production from environmental data and notions of energy in relation to climate change. The 7 British researchers had a unique opportunity to develop this work both in the rural setting of Vera Cruz where most of the data was collected and also in the urban and central context of Barracão Maravilha. The group presented a number of works produced over the two weeks and the TIMESTREAMS platform developed as a a tool for artists and to create new work individually and collaboratively.
